We are happy to a diverse team and Nepali guides from all walks of life proudly working with Hardcore Nepal.

Ramesh is an international guide, who has worked in India, USA and Nepal. Lately, he spends Nepal’s monsoon season in the USA kayaking, rafting and climbing at the famous New River Gorge, home to world class white water on the New River and Gauley River. You can find him in Nepal from October – May each year dazzling clients with his outrageous stunts, extreme stories and “hardcore” personality! There is no one quite like him. Definitely a rock star when it comes to anything climbing, canyoning, caving or kayaking!
Bikash Gurung – Office Manager at Hardcore Nepal
Bikash is a welcome addition to the Hardcore Nepal Extreme team. He has over 10 years experience managing trekking and adventure travel in Nepal. Our guests love Bikash because he seems to know everything there is to know about anything you would want to do in Nepal, and his goal is to help tourists in Nepal have the best time possible. Bikash can answer all your questions about climbing, rafting, trekking, paragliding, kayaking, homestays, yoga classes, where to eat, where to shop, where to stay…. He is ALL NEPAL! Stop by and say “Namaste,” and chat with him!
Ram Chandra BK – Guide Hardcore Nepal/TREKT Himalaya – Kathmandu.
Ram will probably be the first person you meet when you come to our office or arrive in Nepal. He was our first recruit from our training program. We met him in the village of Bimal Nagar when we conducted our first rock climbing trips to the area. He quickly learned all there was to know about our extreme adventures, and soon became a key player in our operations. He is one of the friendliest, most genuine people you will meet in Nepal, so be sure to say big “Namaste” to Ram Chandra!
Pashupati Thapa – One of our best all around guides, Pashupati proves himself a wonder-guide on every trip. He is an expert canyoneer and an superb rock climbing guide. He also is instrumental in discovering new treks and taking our clients on impromptu hikes to little known villages and interesting places. His winning smile and great personality make him a favorite guide for our clients.
Suresh BK – Suresh is an amazing and fearless climber. What we think is extreme sport, he calls child’s play – literally. He was one of the first people ever to abseil into the now popular Jalbire Canyon. The canyon is next to his home village of Similtal, and Suresh grew up playing in this mamoth natural water park. He now leads trips for Hardcore Nepal to Jalibire Canyon. He is one of Nepal’s most experienced guides for canyoning in this area.
His natural climbing ability makes him a top pick as a guide for rock climbing. He lead climbs with ease, has a fun way of “showing the ropes” to new climbers, and has experience climbing Nepal’s most popular crags.
Fearless and fun, there’s never a dull moment with Suresh!
Binod BK – Hardcore Nepal is proud to have this year’s trainee, Binod BK on our team. Binod began working with us in January 2012 and is quickly becoming a valued member of our team.
Binod comes from the village of Bimal Nagar, home of our Cave and Climb Trip. Like many Nepalis, he is a natural climber, and hardcore kayaker. If you see Binod on your trip, be sure to ask him about his village and home. He loves sharing cultural insights with our clients and is awesome at cooking the Daal Bhat!
Pasang Sherpa – We met Pasang several years ago when first opened our office in Kathmandu. She is a great all around guide who will try any sport. She’s a kayaker, rock climber and trekking guide.
These days Pasang stays in the Solu Khumbu most of the year. Which is great for Everest Base Camp Treks. Pasang is a freelance guide, so if you would like to request her for trekking, book far in advance. She is one of our favorite Sherpani guides.
Sandra Krasa BK – Sandra is the co-founder (along with husband Ramesh BK) of TREKT Himalaya/Hardcore Nepal. She’s our top paper trail guide as she sleeplessly looks after all of our emails, bookings, phone calls, etc. with her team in the USA. She is in Nepal for Spring and Autumn tourist seasons each year to make sure our clients are happy and well. Sandra started TREKT Himalaya’s USA office because she saw a real need for better information and support for travelers to Nepal and the Himalayan region.
Sandra loves to tell you as much as she can about traveling in the Himalaya or trips to Nepal, so be sure to email her before you plan your trip. And also check out her blog posts dedicated to Nepal travel at TREKT Himalaya and Hardcore Nepal.
Sandra has a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the University of Florida. An award-winning documentary filmmaker, successful entrepreneur and intrepid adventurer, Sandra is our team guru for “how to” travel.
Other Guides We Really Like
These are some of the Nepal guides from other companies that we really respect, love to work with and would send any of my friends to. Some of them work with us as freelance guides, or partner companies. I will update this as I have more experiences with great people. Some of them work exclusively for their Nepal trekking and tour companies, others work as freelance guides in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan and India so request them if you can!
Endra Rai – Himalayan Ecstasy Endra is the “Rock Climbing Guru” and Peak Climbing Instructor. And also a leader in the Nepal Raft Guides Association – HARGAN. River Guide (Raft Guide/ Safety Kayaker/ Kayak Instructor). Endra has eight years of guiding experience in Nepal, India, Tibet and abroad. This has given him a wide range of experience on rivers and in the Himalaya leading clients. He has the advantage of having a true spirit of adventure, multi-skills and experience, not losing clients along the way. Appreciation of the flora/fauna/culture/customs make him an interesting guide too. He never fails to keep you cheerful and lighten your mood, however tough the going gets. Interesting and fun, he’s very charming, with his typical Nepalese sense of humour………
“Life is like Liquid Logic.” -Endra
Deepak Nepal – Hardcore Nepal andUltimate Descents
Deepak is one of the most sought after raft guides in Nepal. The one thing you always here about Deepak is, “oh, he is such a great guy.” And it’s true! He’s awesome! A first class professional in everyway, he works as an international guide and adventure tour director in both Nepal and Burma (Myanmar). His favorite river in Nepal is his home river, the Trisuli, where he shares his village home and culture with clients on his rafting and canyoning trips. People get a very personal view of Nepali culture when they go with Deepak, as he shares family festivals, traditional food and experiences with his guest. But most days, you see him on Nepal’s steepest river, the raging Bhote Koshi! Request Deepak if you can get him — he’s worth it.
